The prototype is the starting point
We are developing the Velaya sensor prototype. Before taking it into a field pilot, we need local tests that help us understand its observations and whether they are repeatable. A result in one setting will answer a specific question. It will also leave questions about how the device behaves elsewhere.
A field pilot needs a defined question
A pilot should help us learn something that local testing cannot establish. That means choosing a forest site with its responsible team, agreeing what to observe and planning how the equipment would be installed and maintained. The scope and permissions need to be clear before field work starts.
The platform must make the observations useful
Velaya Cloud is being developed alongside the sensor. We want a person to be able to locate a warning, review its context and record the outcome of a check. Feedback from the people using the information should help decide what the interface needs to show.
What we will share
When we publish test results, we will describe the question, the conditions and what was observed. We will also explain the limits that matter for interpreting that result. Coverage, field reliability and readiness for everyday use need evidence from testing; they are not claims we can make today.
