OUR MISSION

Earlier wildfire warning for the people protecting forests.

We are developing Velaya to help forest managers recognise possible signs of fire sooner and locate the area that needs checking.

Sunlight and sky between tall pine trees

Give the person on duty something useful to act on.

A forest manager needs to know where a possible incident is and what prompted the warning. Velaya’s goal is to bring that information from small sensors in the woodland to the people responsible for it.

Early detection belongs alongside prevention, land management and established response procedures. Our part is to help people notice a possible problem and assess it. The sensor prototype is the first step towards that goal.

01

Start with the territory

A forest sector, a campsite boundary and a remote slope have different needs. A future pilot should start with the place and the people responsible for it.

02

Test before expanding

Local tests and a field pilot must establish what the prototype can do, including where it falls short.

03

Build for forests worldwide

Our team works across countries. We want the lessons from each stage to inform a system that could be useful in different forest settings.
